                     Read pp. 48-54, Baker and Schreiner in text
                     Read Student Essay, "I'm Only Twenty" by Brandon Wyatt and
                     Do Reader Response 1 (Wyatt) and post a 300 word reponse to
                     the following questions to the message board by classtime on
                     Thursday;  How does the narrator change?  What does he learn
                     about himself as a result of his experiences? Next, post a 100
                     word response to another student's initial 300 word post by
                     classtime on Friday; Bring a copy of this essay to class on
                     Monday.
                     Read Student Essay, “The Waiting Game” by
                     Whitney Lucas; Bring a copy of "The Waiting Game" to class;
                     Do Reader Response 2:  “The Waiting Game”How does the
                     narrator, Whitney, change?  What does she learn about herself
                     as a result of her experiences? Post a 300 word response to
                     these questions to the message board by classtime on
                     Thursday and a 100 word min. response to another student's
                     post by classtime on Friday.
